All-Natural Beeswax

Derived from the diligent work of bees, our candles feature the warmth and radiance of all-natural beeswax. Beeswax has a higher melting point compared to other waxes, resulting in a longer burn time. This means your candle lasts longer, providing extended hours of enjoyment.

All-Natural Soy Wax

In order to Complement the hardiness of the beeswax, we incorporate all-natural soy wax sourced from soybeans. This wax burns evenly, ensuring a longer lasting and consistent fragrance experience while minimizing soot and toxins.

FAQs

What makes a candle non-toxic?

Non-toxic candles are crafted to minimize the emissions of harmful substances and promote a healthier environment during use. Here’s a breakdown of what makes a candle non-toxic:

  • Wax selection: Our non-toxic candles use natural waxes — beeswax and soy wax.
  • Fragrances: Our non-toxic candles use fragrance oils that are free from harmful chemicals like phthalates. Phthalate-free fragrance oils ensure a safer aroma experience without compromising indoor air quality.

Why beeswax + soy wax?

On our journey to reach perfection, the experimentation phase revealed that 100% soy wax candles fell short of our aspirations. We discovered that blending soy wax with beeswax gave us not only a longer, but a stronger burn — a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence.

What are phthalate-free fragrance oils?

A fragrance oil is a blend of essential oil and a synthetic aroma. Our fragrance oils are crafted without the inclusion of harmful phthalates, frequently found in conventional fragrances.

Are these candles safe for people with allergies or sensitivities?

Our non-toxic candles are generally safer for individuals with allergies or sensitivities. Their reduced emission of pollutants sets them apart from conventional candles. It’s worth noting though that while our candles are formulated to minimize sensitivities, some individuals might still experience reactions to specific scents. For instance, someone with a coconut allergy may find our coconut-scented candles unsuitable for their sensitivities. Your comfort and well-being are at the heart of our candle experience.

How long do non-toxic candles burn?

Burn times vary based on the candle size and usage. However, our candles tend to burn longer due to their higher melting points.

  • 13.5 oz candles provide 55+ hours of burn time.
  • 13.5 oz refills provide 55+ hours of burn time.
  • 3.5 oz candle tins provide 22+ hours of burn time.
  • 2.5 oz wax melts provide 36+ hours of burn time per package.

Do these candles produce black soot while burning?

The clean-burning nature of our all-natural wax blend combined with quality wicks and fragrances work to keep black soot at bay. However, it is important to regularly trim the wick and follow care guidelines. Neglecting wick maintenance may lead to an oversized flame or a “mushroomed” wick, potentially causing soot.

Can I recycle the packaging of these candles?

While we are thrilled to offer environmentally-conscious choices, recycling capabilities vary by locations. Our wax melt clamshells and 3.5 oz candle tins might find new life in recycling systems that align with their materials. As for our 13.5 oz candle jars, they’re designed with a second act in mind – embrace their elegance more than once with our refill option. Read more about our refill options here.

What do I do if my candle starts to tunnel?

Should your candle display signs of tunneling, fear not — a simple solution awaits. It’s worth noting that, due to the density of beeswax, our candles take a slower approach to reach a full melt pool. Given time, it will eventually melt the entire top layer of wax.

  • To speed up the process to a full melt pool, carefully trim the wicks without trimming it below the wax’s surface. Trimming too low could result in extinguished flames once the wax liquifies. Once lit, delicately wrap the top of the jar with foil, allowing an opening at the top. Keep a watchful eye, it won’t take long for the foil to trap enough heat to melt the remaining wax.
